We are looking forward to an exciting 2012. This year sees the development of our first range of plain fabrics to work in conjunction with our hand printed patterns. First up is a gorgeous double sided, felted wool and a super chic silk. They will be on our website as soon as they are ready. You can keep up to date with all the latest developments via our blog on our website or sign up for our newsletter. Meanwhile Feathers, Berry and Zig Zag, launched last year at Decorex are now available through selected stockists.
Rapture and Wright began in 2002 when Rebecca Aird and Peter Thwaites designed and hand printed their first collection of furnishing fabrics and wallpapers. Printed on a simple ten meter table that they had built for themselves in a farmyard barn, it was a collection that embraced pattern and colour, setting the style for future designs.
The philosophy behind Rapture and Wright is to be 100% British. The cloth is woven in the UK. Suppliers, from weavers to furniture makers are sourced from around the UK. Designs are conceived and handprinted in the studio, using skills that are rapidly disappearing among British furnishing fabric manufacturers.
Rapture and Wright produce a range of prints and weaves suitable as both upholstery fabric and curtain fabric. Hand printing allows Rapture and Wright to accommodate the needs of their clients. Short runs and bespoke colourways are part of the service. As a small family run business, the quality and feel of the product is at the heart of the company.
