Tribal Stripe

Inspired by a Yaruban ceremonial mask. We carved the blocks for this simple stripe in the studio, adding hand-painted hatching to echo the mask's grass fringing. Also available in bespoke colours.

Working with a UK digital printer, we have developed several of these Tribal Stripe colour ways to capture the spirit of our handprinted originals in colour and texture but with the benefit of a shorter lead time. Due to intensity of pigment required, some colour ways, including bespoke colours, are only available as hand prints. Installing this paper is the job of an experienced decorator
